Probably one of my favourite paintings of all time. This uruguayan coffee was knocking about in my kitchen while I was living in Cologne. Strange how you can miss coffee but I do.
It's a walnut. I personally despise the taste, but I've always liked the way they look.
You would not believe how much of a pain painting this was. I wanted the details to be right, so I spent about 50 hours on it...
Hey, I like your work. You should post some new stuff.

Hello! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to resolve this problem. If you have any suggestions, please share. Thank you!

Hi Tobi,
I’m afraid I don’t have any suggestions…I don’t own an iphone either, so that’s me flummoxed. I suggest you try a different theme and see how that goes.
All the best,
Chris

Have snuck on, while house is quiet. Loved the pix you’ve added on, am sure a few of these are new? Shining Winter Morning made me melt. I would have been proud to hang that in my home. So beautiful, Chris. Whoever has it now, better be being sweet to it ; ) x

Hello to you, sneaker. Ah, thanks Yasmin, I really love that picture too. I miss it sometimes actually, and usually I don’t get too attached to pieces, but that one was different. (Actually that’s a lie; I am attached to some of them, but you have to try not to be.)
That particular painting you mentioned went to a great and appreciative home. I really want to start doing some more work but am not sure what direction I want to go in.
Thanks for the emails. I have a busy weekend of catching up with things and am going out soon, but I wish you fun in Banbury and all the best. C x

I meant to say that none of the pictures are that new, I just re-organised this a bit and uploaded some which weren’t on there.

It’s okay, I knew what you meant, I’m v.glad that painting is special for you too. Tonight, I watched a floodlit old church strike 11pm in a wee silent village, stood there and watched it for ages. (Saw a frog, dog, horses & sheep & bats in a field. I am so in the countryside here!) I thought of you and how amazing it would be if you could paint something as bewitching as this and do it justice. Lovely to be out in the dark. I bought cotton canvas and clear iridescent paint today. I found a Kate Atkinson book, but could not recall which one you said I should read?! Hope you had a good day too Mr Pink and that you are catching up with stuff.. : ) x

Hey Yasmin, I didn’t sleep at all last night — bad headache; I ended up waking at 4am and doing a tiny bit of work and now I am shattered — so sorry I couldn’t reply quicker to this.
That painting is special, yes. I remember doing it and feeling proud.
The church — the atmosphere — sounds wonderful. And what a range of animals to see! Fantastic.
Ah, that was a kind thiung to say. I shall paint again one day, I can feel it.
Good for you on the paint and canvas buy. Hope you have fun with that.
The Kate Atkinson book is One Good Turn, though I expect I am much too late…but really, any of her books are good and more than worth a look (when will there be good news? Is another).
I have a strong suspicion the next few days will be a bit mad. I am hopefully sorting out paperbacks. We’ll see how that goes.
Hope you had an ace time away, and thanks for the Spotify gift. Has been really good.

I’m so sorry you had a bad head Chris : ( It was v.warm last night. I’ll drop you a wee note soon, it’s weird using a laptop that isn’t mine, at the mo! Makes typing feel strange, Yasmin x

Thanks Yasmin. I slept a bit better last night; have done a bit of writing today so that was good.
Really weird using someone else’s laptop…it doesn’t feel right at all…
And yes, very very warm last night — still warm now. Got your emails of course, will do my best to reply when I can.

OK I’m a bit worried now that you seem so willing to give it away. Something lurking in there that may surprise me? haha 😉

Jeez Karen, a man can’t WIN! First he agrees to give his brain away, and when he does an assumption or lurkingness (?) is made! Come on, I’m a human, so yes, there are LOADDDDDDDDDSSA things lurking in there. Stuff I doubt I even know about, let alone anyone else (it’s just so hard to keep track these days…). But don’t worry, you can wipe bits of it free. I’ll give you the password 🙂
